Rack the Shot

  • Cue ball

On the right rail, 5.5 diamonds from the TR corner pocket

  • Object ball

On the right rail, 2 diamonds from the TR corner pocket

  • Target pocket

    Top-right corner pocket

  • Cut angle

⅞-ball cut(11° off the pocket line)

The faint outlined ball on the diagram is the ghost ball — aim your cue ball straight at it and the object ball goes in the pocket.

The Setup

Rail-line cut into the corner. Draw the cue ball back along the same line and stop it before it touches a rail — perfectly level cue, perfectly controlled draw.

Technique

Dead level cue, low draw, smooth pace. The drill exposes any unintended english that walks the CB into the cushion.

What it teaches

Cue-level discipline. The single biggest fix for inconsistent draw at distance.
