Rack the Shot

  • Cue ball

3.5 diamonds off the head rail, 2 diamonds off the left rail

  • Object ball

On the right rail, 2 diamonds from the TR corner pocket

  • Target pocket

    Top-right corner pocket

  • Cut angle

Half-ball cut(37° off the pocket line)

The faint outlined ball on the diagram is the ghost ball — aim your cue ball straight at it and the object ball goes in the pocket.

The Setup

OB sits on the right rail a couple of diamonds below the TR corner; CB starts in the open middle of the table, just above the side-pocket line. Cut the OB into the corner and draw the cue ball straight back along the same line to land right where it started.

Technique

One-third tip low, smooth stroke. Don't use too much low — just enough draw to bring the cue ball back to where it started.

What it teaches

Controlled draw distance — not maximum draw, but precise distance to a target.
