Rack the Shot

  • Cue ball

3 diamonds off the foot rail, 1.5 diamonds off the left rail

  • Object ball

On the right rail, 4 diamonds from the TR corner pocket

  • Target pocket

    Right side pocket

  • Cut angle

⅝-ball cut(28° off the pocket line)

The faint outlined ball on the diagram is the ghost ball — aim your cue ball straight at it and the object ball goes in the pocket.

The Setup

Pocket the OB in the side and send the cue ball two rails — short rail then far long rail — back to the center of the table.

Technique

Low-left english (a little draw with left spin), medium pace. Just enough draw to start the back-and-around path.

What it teaches

Coming out of a side-pocket cut with a controlled two-rail return.
