3 diamonds off the head rail, 2 diamonds off the right rail

  • Object ball

1 diamond off the head rail, 1 diamond off the right rail

  • Target pocket

    Top-right corner pocket

  • Cut angle

⅝-ball cut(33° off the pocket line)

The faint outlined ball on the diagram is the ghost ball — aim your cue ball straight at it and the object ball goes in the pocket.

The Setup

Cut the OB into the corner using a half-tip of right english, then bring the cue ball back to the middle of the table.

Technique

Half cuetip of right english, smooth medium pace. The english widens the rebound just enough to swing back to center.

What it teaches

Using a precise english amount (½ tip) to dial the cue ball into center of table.
